Maxwell "Max" Miller
December 14, 2016 - February 23, 2026

Forever loyal, forever loved ❤️

At 2:15 PM on February 23, 2026, Max, a gentle, loving, and pure little soul made that journey to the Rainbow Bridge, without us in tow, free of his harness and leash, but most importantly, free of illness (hemangiosarcoma). He took his last breaths in our world while feeling safe in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his pack, snuggled in our arms, and smothered with copious amounts of kisses. This innocent angel gained a pair of wings. We told him to look for his brothers who preceded him in this journey...look for Jack, James, Buster, and Spot.

Maxwell was born on December 14, 2016, and he belonged to another family before ours. His previous family separated, and his first mama selflessly looked for a new home for him, which is how Max came into our lives. We met Max for a meet and greet on March 11, 2018, and the second Max laid eyes on Kent, he ran over to him, his little lion's tail at the time wagging every which way, stood on his hind legs, put his paws on Kent's shoulders, and gave him that big, goofy Max grin, showing his teethies, with his tongue hanging out. I know it gave his first mama a lot of comfort. He joined our family that day; I like to believe it was meant to be, and we were meant to be Max's home.

Max has given us almost 8 years of love, laughter, loyalty, protection, and comfort. He was part of our original four who we dubbed the OG Fab Four. He was constantly getting into mischief but all you could do was laugh. He loved to run around, swim in his pool, rip up all stuffies and dog beds, play around, and snuggle. He loved the bed and would try to claim the entire bed as his. He was so smart yet so stubborn and when you were like, Max....don't do that, and you could almost see him thinking as he'd raise those gorgeous eyes to the ceiling as if deep in thought about his next move; 9 times out of 10, he'd make the right decision. 😉 His love was unlike any other love; he LOVED us. He protected us. He gave some of the best hugs by pushing himself into you. He learned that from Jack. And he gave hugs every morning. If happy, go-lucky had a face, it would be his. He was the epitome of positivity, light, laughter, and love. He was my big puppy (Mama's Big Puppy), Daddy's Baby Boy, and our Noodle Doodle. He didn't officially have a middle name, but we would always call him Maxwell Noodle Miller with a lot of emphasis on Noooodle. This loss cuts so deeply, for us and for his pack. While we only had about 5 days with him once we learned of his diagnosis and what could happen, we are so grateful for that time we did get with him; it let us treat him to all his favorite things (and some special treats like his first plain McDonald's cheeseburger) and say our good-byes on our terms. But it still hurts, it still kills you inside; it doesn't get any easier. But we still would not do anything differently because the years, the laughter, the snuggles, the bonds created, and the love, which created our love stories with each one, are always greater than the endings. We recognize we are lucky to love someone that much where the price for that love is the pain one feels when they have to say good-bye.

We love you so much, Max, aka Mama's Big Puppy, Maxwell Noodle Miller, and Daddy's Baby Boy. We will always love you and will always remember you. You've given us so much. I don't know how we were so lucky to have a Maxwell Miller. ❤️🌈
