ak was born in a farmhouse in cambridge wi on may 19th 2008. at four weeks old he met his human mom. when i went to the farmhouse to look at another kitten, he had curled up, and went to sleep on my shoe. i knew then that i had been picked. On June 21st 2008 he went home with me at 5 weeks old. my partner at the time started calling him angel and since he was so small i thought it would be funny to call him killer. that's how he got his full name "Angel killer" which we shortened to ak. he had the personality to match his name.
Even though he only bonded with me, he shared space with my husband. they had an understanding and Ak would allow him to touch his tail as he rubbed against his leg while passing by.
ak was unique. He was a very clean cat that washed his paws after eating. he had a big personality and was always very expressive.
In his later years he loved to cuddle with his human mom. he was food motivated, a lover of catnip, he enjoyed watching sharks on tv, looking out the window, his shark bed, naps in His blanket tent, stroller rides in the courtyard, Following the sunshine around the living room & Quality time. Just to name a few.
over his 16 years he had a mom, 3 daddies that cared for him very much, a grandma that would spoil him, an aunt that loved to play with him, a roomate, a handful of visitors & many friends. he touched many lives as the internet watched him grow up.
on August 16th 2024 ak passed away peacefully at home in his favorite spot, on his favorite blanket, with his favorite humans who cared for him surrounded by love.
Ak is and will always be loved and missed.
he taught me many things over the years. he will forever be in our hearts as he left pawprints on our souls.
